Nancy Sanders – Biography
As a second generation artist (my father was artist) I have worked in various mediums; Clay, Paint and Mixed Media.
In 1985 I moved to the Ojai Valley, finding a wonderful little house tucked under a Grand old Oak tree and like this tree I planted my roots here. I have one daughter, Meagan, born and raised in Ojai. Our house was always filled with Art Projects, but there was no room for Studio; so the Kitchen became the “Projectorium”.
I volunteered as an Art Trek docent at Meiners Oaks elementary school for 4 years. This wonderful art program rekindled my love of Art, as I’ve been an Aerospace Quality Engineer for 20+ years. I’ve always been torn between two worlds; Engineer/Artist, Left brain/Right Brain, but Art has always been my passion.
